Mayor Copenhaver to attend Gateway Crossing Groundbreaking

AUGUSTA, Ga., October 16, 2012 – Mayor Copenhaver and other community leaders will attend the groundbreaking for Gateway Crossing Luxury Apartments, Wednesday, October 17th at 11 a.m. The high-end, 240-unit apartment complex is located on Mason McKnight Jr. Parkway in West Augusta.The project is being developed by The Giddings Group, an Augusta-based company founded by Pete Caye Jr. and Peter Caye III.

“For us, developing a great place to live isn’t simply about finishes, square footage or amenities,” comments Mr. Caye. “It’s about having the spaces and enviroments in which real communities can grow.  Our focus on quality of life is based on our belief that attracting good neighbors is what it’s all about.”

Augusta firm building 240-unit apartment complex

An Augusta real estate development firm has started preparing the site for a high-end, 240-unit apartment complex on Mason McKnight Jr. Parkway in west Augusta.

The community will be called Gateway Crossing Luxury Apart­ments, and infrastructure work is under way, said Peter Caye III, the managing partner of The Giddings Group LLC. Caye said there will be a groundbreaking with city leaders Oct. 17.

Gateway Crossing will begin leasing in January, offering one- to three-bedroom apartments ranging from 650 to 1,400 square feet. The buildings will be three stories tall. Amenities will include a resort-style pool with cabana, health club/quality fitness center and business center.
