AUGUSTA, Ga., October 16, 2012 – Mayor Copenhaver and other community leaders will attend the groundbreaking for Gateway Crossing Luxury Apartments, Wednesday, October 17th at 11 a.m. The high-end, 240-unit apartment complex is located on Mason McKnight Jr. Parkway in West Augusta.The project is being developed by The Giddings Group, an Augusta-based company founded by Pete Caye Jr. and Peter Caye III.

An Augusta real estate development firm has started preparing the site for a high-end, 240-unit apartment complex on Mason McKnight Jr. Parkway in west Augusta.
The community will be called Gateway Crossing Luxury Apartments, and infrastructure work is under way, said Peter Caye III, the managing partner of The Giddings Group LLC. Caye said there will be a groundbreaking with city leaders Oct. 17.
Gateway Crossing will begin leasing in January, offering one- to three-bedroom apartments ranging from 650 to 1,400 square feet. The buildings will be three stories tall. Amenities will include a resort-style pool with cabana, health club/quality fitness center and business center.
Gateway Crossing is a 240-unit multi-family luxury apartment complex that offers great amenities that include pristine swimming pool and cabana, club house, state-of-the-art fitness center, and business/conference meeting room.
The Gateway Crossing is conveniently located on Mason McKnight Jr. Parkway in west Augusta with close access to I20 and Bobby Jones Expressway, Fort Gordon, shopping, dining and entertainment.
